The E-Waste Nodal Centre is an established research, technology and implementation initiative connecting citizens, institutions, industries, researchers, government agencies, MSMEs, NGOs, Self-Help Groups and authorized recyclers.
Through research, training, technology development, public participation and stakeholder coordination, the Centre promotes responsible collection, repair, reuse, refurbishment, recycling and material recovery.

About the Centre
The E-Waste Nodal Centre is established at the Centre for Energy Studies, National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, under Project SAP22-NITHami-109. It brings together academic expertise, institutional participation, industry collaboration, community engagement and digital technologies to address electronic waste across its complete lifecycle.

How it works
A five-stage process connects the source of e-waste to verified repair, refurbishment, recycling and recovered-material pathways.
SHGs, NGOs and institutions
E-waste is registered through public submissions, institutional requests, drives and collection points.
Registered MSMEs
Approved partners collect, document and move material safely to designated hubs.
MSMEs and technical hubs
Products are weighed, inspected and separated into appropriate circular pathways.
Authorized industry
Non-repairable material is processed through controlled dismantling and recovery.
Manufacturing and EPR systems
Verified materials return to productive use through approved circular channels.

The models are transparent pilot tools. Every page displays the model version, inputs, assumptions, outputs, validation status and limitations.

All categories accepted for registration
Register any electrical or electronic product and choose doorstep pickup, institutional collection, a collection drive or an approved drop-off option. Collection is confirmed after review.
